Every piece of content on IGNOU AI — from assignment guides and portal walkthroughs to calculator formulas and FAQ answers — is researched, written, and reviewed with a single goal: helping IGNOU distance learners succeed. We take accuracy seriously because students rely on us for time-sensitive academic information.

How we research

Our content is sourced from official IGNOU channels: ignou.ac.in, IGNOU web services, study centre notifications, and official university circulars. We cross-reference deadlines, grading formulas, and portal links against the latest IGNOU announcements before publishing.

How we write

Content is written by the IGNOU AI team — a small group of IGNOU students and recent graduates who have firsthand experience with the distance learning process. We write in clear, simple language because we know our users are often checking information on mobile phones between classes or work shifts.

Review and accuracy

All content goes through a review process before publication:

• Factual verification — dates, formulas, and portal URLs are checked against official IGNOU sources
• Technical review — calculator logic, API integrations, and portal embeds are tested before deployment
• Readability check — content is reviewed for clarity, mobile-friendliness, and accessibility

Content freshness

IGNOU operates on a twice-yearly cycle (January and July sessions). We update our content at minimum twice per year to reflect new assignment deadlines, exam schedules, and any changes to official portals. Critical updates — such as deadline extensions or portal outages — are reflected within 24 hours of official confirmation.

Assignment data

Assignment PDFs and metadata are synced automatically from ignou.ac.in twice a week (Monday and Thursday at 3:00 AM IST). If the IGNOU website changes its structure or becomes temporarily unavailable, our sync may be delayed. We monitor sync health and resolve issues promptly.

AI-generated content

The AI Assignment Solver generates structured answers using large language models. These answers are designed as study aids — they provide reference-backed outlines and marking scheme breakdowns. We clearly label all AI-generated content and recommend students use it as a learning tool, not a copy-paste solution.

Corrections

If you find an error in our content — an outdated deadline, a broken link, or an incorrect formula — please contact us. We review correction requests within 24 hours and update the affected content immediately upon verification.

Independence

IGNOU AI is an independent student utility. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or financially supported by IGNOU or the UGC. Our editorial decisions are made solely based on what benefits IGNOU students. We do not accept paid placements or sponsored content that compromises our editorial integrity.
